The "Books and Authors" postcards

I mailed out the "books and authors" postcards for the fall swap today. I was a little behind because I waited for a last letter to arrive from Italy. The postcards were outstanding, and though I couldn't photograph each one, I did take photos of different groups of cards to share with everyone. 

Overall, by looking through the cards, I really could feel the vibe, that books matter to us. Authors, stories, and characters all matter. So does the act of sitting and enjoying a book, and through some of the cards I could see that even simply being around books matters, with no particular title in mind.

So let's start with some pictures. I was surprised at the number of children's books were represented in the postcards. Isn't it interesting what books leave a mark on us?

Next up are postcards of books for young readers. What category would that be? Juvenile fiction genre, ages 12 to 18? Am I writing that correctly? Anyway, you know what I mean.

Another very popular title was Little Women.

Even Harry Potter made it.

There were lots of British-lit inspired postcards.

Below are many beautiful interpretations of the book Pride and Prejudice.

Then titles and authors of American lit.

And we can't forget Edgar Allan Poe, of course.

Cooking books, among others, are also good books for reading. And how about a cup of tea while you're reading?
