A Sketchnote of collage art ideas

Back at the beginning of the year, I created a survey asking those who have signed up to be on my email list what kinds of interests do you have in collage art. I got over 100 very detailed answers, and from that data, I created a sketchnote:

A hand drawn sketchnote on collage art interests

Based on all the feedback I received, there were 3 main areas that people's interests generally fell: process, workspace, and purpose

Process

Under process, people mainly had these interests:

  • adhesives
  • layout, placement, and focal point
  • when to call it done
  • being overwhelmed with too many ideas to start

Workspace

The place where you create is important:

  • how to organize
  • the best use of time
  • collecting instead of creating

Purpose

Several people expressed the interest in creating art that has meaning:

  • using family photos
  • art that tells a story
  • create something relevant, not just pretty

All of these topics are of interest to me, to touch on at some point in the future. Now I have a roadmap of areas to explore and topics to cover. Thanks everyone, for your feedback.
