Copper stamping technique

I made a neat discovery while playing around with rubber stamps on black cardstock.

I took a plain piece of black cardstock and painted it with a coat of matte medium. Then I tried a couple of different kinds of rubber stamps with bright ink to see what would happen.

The copper ink turned out the best. It's absolutely vibrant against the black background. I liked it so much I decided to use a piece as a spine on one of my journal books.
