An interest in aeroplanes

I never realized I had an interest in aeroplanes until I started creating lots of collages with them. Specifically, I find myself drawn to early planes from the WWI era. In the collage below, I used an image of a Curtiss plane as my focal point.

Here's another with a Curtiss image.

Sometimes it's just about the postage stamps. Maps help in a collage when you've got planes.

In my last example, I'm using an image of a Brewster plane, from a playing card game. I've added some butterfly wings as an overlay.

Lastly, I wanted to share that I published an article for Flight Journal magazine on the California-based Andermat Aeroplane Company of 1916. They were a small company with big dreams that were very short lived. It was great doing the research to pull this story together.
