This is V’s new phrase, “Want it.” She now knows the meaning of ‘want’ and tells me point blank when she’s not getting it. A converstion goes something like this:
Me: Ok, but after lunch. You have to eat your lunch first.
V: Want it!
Me: I know you want it, but you have to wait.
So far that’s been the end of it. No tantrums. I guess those are coming… .
She also says, “Get it.” If she drops something on the floor that she can’t reach, she’ll say, “Get it.” and then go herself to retrieve it.
It’s really something to know that this little person understands you and can make herself understood.
